I am a contemporary paper collage artist who lives and works on the California Central Coast. Since childhood I have loved art, and have always been attracted to the bright colors and bold geometric shapes that have become recurring themes in my work. My process begins with an awakening of inspiration that is either internally or externally triggered. Once a starting point has been established, my work takes on a life of its own, as I layer shapes, colors, and textures, creating space between the lines, all that is unspoken. In addition to my career as an artist, I counsel college students with a wide range of personal issues and am in the process of becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California. I consider my academic background in psychology, as well as a wealth of life experiences, to be closely linked in my artistic expression.
