Alina Georgescu

Alina was born and raised in Romania, a very old, picturesque and astonishingly beautiful country.

Her calling for colors, dimension, photography and art in different forms came naturally to her from an early age. She explored her born talents and capabilities by years of drawing, knitting, tailoring, and professional dancing.

She came to the US in 1995 with a master’s degree in chemical engineering, opposed to her sensitive, creative nature.

Alina embraced the colorful culture and diversity, enjoying a “far away from home” life, though never letting go of her inner passion and creative spirit.

She’s a self-taught artist in various mediums, fueled by imagination and the desire to create a unique feeling to the eyes of the viewer. Alina aims to communicate and resonate with people by offering them a glimpse into her carousel of ideas, even just for a few moments…

Art is a language universally spoken, the language of existence, joy of living, peace of mind, deep emotions, gratefulness, expression of personality, and everything that relates us to our true substance. It discovers who we are and gives us a sense of purpose.

Art combines reality with the imaginary in a symbiosis that’s healing and elevates the soul.

Alina lives in Sonoma County, California with her long-time partner, Brian, their two cats, Simba and Icy, and Yeti, the beautiful, stubborn and loving Alaskan Malamute.
